High speed – rail link breaks fresh ground

The 89 km long section Nuremberg-Ingolstadt is part of linking Berlin and Munich with a high speed railway. It is the first high speed slab-type railway over a long distance that is built on karst all over Europe. We were charged with providing the temporary infrastructure including modular space for offices, accommodation, sanitary rooms, depots and service centers as well as the complete energy supply of the site. Our support also comprised about 140 machines and tunneling equipment, like drilling jumbos, drilling systems, dumpers, excavators, platforms etc., and shuttering formwork.
